Pupils in Class Carina dip into both learning pathways, with elements from the semi-formal pathway being used to support learning for pupils on formal pathways. The class uses visuals such as 'now and next' boards to help pupils understand the structure of the day. The class has a big focus on motivation and engagement, with pupils earning 'Peterhouse Points' and setting their own targets, based on their EHCPs, to earn end-of-term treats.
