The Peterhouse Way is about a shared and embedded understanding of our philosophy that is fundamental to everything that we do. We want our pupils, families and staff to know and understand how we value and support autistic individuals to ensure that they can reach their full potential in becoming successful adults with autism experiencing a good quality of life.
Our ‘One Voice’ represents the working partnerships that ensure consistent approaches by all stakeholders with the person at the centre of their experience at Peterhouse School. Our one voice is evidenced through:
- Our vision, culture & ethos and promoting consistency
- Pupil voice, whatever pathway they follow, in order to ensure we prepare them for the best possible life outcomes
- Family voice by working with and alongside our families to promote consistency for the child e.g. EHCP targets, listening to families, support in the home, family quality of life
- Autism practice and supporting behaviour approaches – ‘one voice’ when using proactive, active and reactive support
