Each year, St Peter’s Church, Formby, brings the community together in a warm celebration of charity and seasonal joy. Today is Protect our Planet Day!

We had a wonderful visit to Peacehaven House in Southport today. Our students played music for the residents and performed amazingly, both singing and on guitar. We are so proud of their efforts. Well done! Thank you to Peacehaven and all of the residents for making us feel so welcome, we hope to visit you again soon.

We are delighted to reveal our winning Peterhouse Christmas card design for this year! All students were invited to submit a design and we received an outstanding response. Well done to all who participated!

Today we are offering a Wellbeing Day for parents! Peterhouse parents and families are invited to join in with a fun and informal day of chats, refreshments, crafts and relaxation sessions. 😀

In this week's Eco Club, pupils talked about things we can do to help the environment, both at school and at home. Pupils suggested actions such as switching off lights, reusing bags, recycling and planting trees. We also talked about how some actions have a bigger impact than others, but all actions are helpful! What actions are you taking?

This week, Peterhouse hosted an External Moderation session. Staff from Peterhouse as well as other local schools come together to moderate work - this ensures consistency across schools with similar cohorts of pupils when assessing pupil work.

We have been successfully re-accredited for the Wellbeing Award for Schools! Peterhouse originally achieved this accolade in 2018, and has been re-accredited in 2022 and now 2025, demonstrating the school’s commitment to having wellbeing and good mental health at the core of everything we do. This week has seen the introduction of Eco Club, a lunchtime club for students with an interest in conservation and the environment. Students thought about the activities that they want to do as part of the club, and were particularly interested in discussing how we can be more environmentally friendly, as well as doing 'green' craft activities!

We were delighted to welcome Pudsey Bear at Peterhouse today! Pudsey visited to support the BBC's Children in Need appeal, and provided a perfect finish for our anti-bullying activities this week. Yesterday, four of our classes visited the local cinema as part of Expressive Arts and Digital Media activities, with another class going next week - these trips are funded by Into Film, who support this activity at Peterhouse every year - we are very grateful to Into Film, for giving our students this opportunity!
