Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games Bronze Award for the 2017/18 academic year.
The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
Our sporting achievements this year include:
* Healthy School Week incorporating new sporting opportunities.
* Sports Week when each class had the opportunity to try their chosen sport.
* Table tennis competition
* Sports Day
* Pupils experiencing a variety of new sports and exercise environments through our P.E. Grant
* The introduction of three Sports Ambassadors, who represent pupils views in relation to P.E. and sport.
As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.
We look forward to applying once again in 2019!
We would like to express our thanks for the huge amount of support we are currently receiving from local groups, clubs and businesses who are holding events in aid of Peterhouse:
MM Boxing, who held a boxing event in March, with a further event planned for 11th August 2018
Butterworth Spengler Charity Golf Day at the Royal Liverpool Gold Club in Hoylake
West Lancashire Golf Club
Hightown Social Club have named Peterhouse as their Charity of the Year
We are also very grateful to the Autism Initiatives fundraising team, who are co-ordinating and promoting all of these events.
The funds raised are being used to replace our outdated IT equipment and provide classes with new smartboards, PCs and iPads, which would just not be possible without the support from Fundraising and from the Community.
Additionally, we would like to express a huge thank you to our local Dobbies Store in Southport, who have donated £100 worth of horticulture equipment for our 'plot'!
Thank you so much to all of you!!!
