Tue 19 Dec 2023We had a trip out to see what it’s like to be a postal worker by delivering Christmas cards to residents in our local community.
While we were out, we met our Post Lady who told us all about her job. The young people did a great job delivering the cards and wishing people a Merry Christmas from Peterhouse

National Apprenticeship Show
Fri 01 Dec 2023Students from Class Suzy visited the National Apprenticeship Show at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool. They learned about lots of different career options, and a fantastic day was had by all!

The National Apprenticeship Show: My Thoughts
On Friday, went to The National Apprenticeship Show in Liverpool and it was absolutely amazing! There were businesses giving out free treats such as chocolate, bags and sunglasses, games like wire buzzers and spinning a wheel and many businesses to talk with! I learnt how to pour a beer, made pasta, discussed working at Starbucks, won a free Banana and Custard yoghurt after playing a game with Muller, and got SO MUCH FREE STUFF!!! Other businesses I talked with include the Army, Starbucks, Arnold Clark, Mercedes-Benz and AJ Bell. They gave me the basic run down on their starting salary and what an average day was like there. I am considering doing a Starbucks apprenticeship in the future. You can use leaflets and websites to learn about apprenticeships and to sign up for one yourself. I loved it! 8/10. –

Speak Out Stay Safe Week
Mon 27 Nov 2023This week is NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe Week at Peterhouse.
Speak out Stay safe is a safeguarding programme for children aged 5- to 11-years-old. The programme helps children to understand that they always have a right to feel safe, and that they can speak to a safe adult or Childline if they ever need help or support.

Captain Wonderweb and Puss in Boots
Thu 16 Nov 2023As part of our anti-bullying activities this week, we are excited to welcome Shooting Star Entertainments in school today. They are performing ‘Captain Wonderweb and Puss in Boots’. The show follows 'the Cyber Patrol' as they tell their version of the classic Puss In Boots tale. It tackles different forms of bullying; social, cyber, verbal and physical.

Anti-Bullying Week
Tue 14 Nov 2023This week is Anti-Bullying Week; an annual event that's coordinated in England, Wales and Northern Ireland by the Anti-Bullying Alliance.
This year the theme is 'Make A Noise About Bullying'
Teachers and children wanted a theme that empowered them to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.
So this year, whether you're at home, work or in school, let's celebrate our uniqueness and take a stand against bullying.

Into Film
Thu 09 Nov 2023We are grateful to Into Film https://www.intofilm.org/ for funding cinema visits for classes this week! This gives pupils the opportunity to experience being part of a large audience and develop their social skills regarding appropriate behaviour in public places. It also links to schools' work on animation and music technology!
