Support Us

One thing is quite clear to us - we simply could not achieve all that we do without the thoughtfulness and generosity of our supporters for which we are immensely grateful.

How you can help

As with most charities Peterhouse does rely on the support of those people and organisations who believe in us and support us. That support comes in many guises and includes the giving of skills and expertise; time; gifts in kind; money or simply words of encouragement, which always spur us on. Your support is crucial to our work in whatever way you choose to give it.

What we achieve together

The rewards for supporting us in any way are huge in terms of seeing our pupils achieving new skills, gaining confidence and self esteem and moving towards reaching their true potential as successful people with autism.

Fundraising

Fundraising is vital to Peterhouse so that we may continue providing the very best services for young people with autism and their families.

Individuals

Lots of people support us in many ways from volunteering to bag pack at a local supermarket to jumping out of airplanes!  Whatever you are planning to do we can help, please contact the school office or the Autism Initiatives Fundraising Team: edna.green@autisminitiatives.org

Make a donation

The easiest way to do this is to click on the Donation link above and follow the instructions. Online donations are managed by JustGiving who are experts in secure capture and processing donations in this way.  If you prefer to donate by post please make your cheque payable to Peterhouse School and send to the Peterhouse School at the address on the contacts page.  To make your gift even more valuable to us you can download a Gift Aid Form here.

Make a regular donation

A regular gift no matter how small, can help us to plan our projects for the years ahead.  If you would like to set up a regular direct debit payment, you can download a Standing Order Form here.  Please note on the form that you would like the donation to be for Peterhouse.

Legacies

Perhaps you may consider leaving a gift in your will to Peterhouse.  A special gift like this really makes a difference to the way we are able to plan ahead for the benefit of our pupils.  Please contact the Autism Initiatives Fundraising team if you are thinking of leaving a gift in this way: liz.Thornber@autisminitiatives.org

Shares

We would be delighted to receive any unwanted shares in any quantity – large or small. Giving in this way means that you can support us without making a dent in your bank balance and you could even make substantial savings on your Income Tax too. Please contact the Autism Initiatives Fundraising team if you would like further information: liz.Thornber@autisminitiatives.org .

Companies

Donations from corporate organisations and their employees are hugely important to us.  We aim to work in partnership with companies that help us, wherever possible supporting any activities with branded merchandise, PR and staff visits to services as appropriate.

A great way of supporting us is by adopting Peterhouse as your chosen charity of the year.  This gives us the opportunity to establish a real partnership with the company which results in the best possible feel good factor for staff and positive PR for the company involved.  There are a huge number of ways we can work in partnership – Payroll Giving, match funding, sponsorship or a straight forward donation.  Please contact the school office or the Autism Initiatives Fundraising Team (liz.thornber@autisminitiatives.org) to discuss how we can work together.

Charitable Trusts

Grants from Charitable Trusts and Foundations have been, and continue to be, enormously important to us. They can vary in size from £500 to  £100,000 and can be a one off grant or long-term support over a period of years. We have also received grants from Local Authorities; government funds and Lottery bodies.
