• Riding lesson

  Another of our leavers from Class Suzy got to fulfil one of their lifetime ambitions of riding a horse! Our student took part in his first ever riding lesson, which he thoroughly enjoyed and is now hoping to begin regular lessons. A huge thank you to the staff at Peterhouse and Bowlers Riding School (and not forgetting Colin the horse!) for helping to make a dream come true.

• Chester Zoo visit

  A special trip took place for one of our summer leavers whose ambition it is to work in a zoo. He has passed his exams to go to college and has learned the independence skills he needs for his next steps to be successful. He planned a trip to Chester Zoo himself, to learn more, and also to celebrate his achievements!

  The trip was a great success and he commented "10 out of 10 day - I feel like I have achieved what I wanted to"!

  

• VIP Birkdale Trip

  A huge thank you from Class Carina to Mark and Maggie from VIP HQ Birkdale for their generosity this week in letting our class come to visit as part of our end of term trip! We all had a fabulous time and both the pupils and staff felt very tired after completing the ninja warrior course! We will definitely be back!

  

• Shamah Autism Centre visitors

  Yesterday, we welcomed a group of international visitors from Saudi Arabia! They run a large Autism Center in Dammam City and are visiting schools and autism centers in UK to learn about best practices and talk to experts in this field. The visitors were very impressed by the provision offered at Peterhouse, and it was a great opportunity for our school to develop further links!

• Liverpool Cathedral trip

  Class Rebecca recently visited Liverpool Cathedral.

  They learned about different places of worship, and different mediums and materials used in Art.

  The students had a tour of the Cathedral and learned about the history of the building. They asked questions about the meaning of different spaces within the Cathedral and enjoyed looking at the stained glass windows. They also participated in a clay workshop making marks and shapes onto the surface of clay to represent symbolic imagery within the space.
