Useful Information

Young people from the age of 16 to 19 may come to us after attending special, mainstream or alternative education provision. Many will have complex needs related to the nature of their autism.  Our individual approach seeks to address challenges related to learning, behaviour, and social understanding.

Peterhouse provides career based and work related learning for all students aged 16 and over.  It enables students to focus on the skills needed for life after Peterhouse.   Horticulture, ceramics and photography are examples of the types of business enterprises that are on offer. The Duke of Edinburgh award and a range of living skills facilities give opportunities to develop all aspects of independent living.  Students follow an individually tailored learning programme (based on needs identified during the assessment process) and a timetable of activities which is monitored and regularly reviewed.
